The Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation (ZSR) is looking to add four program officers to our team.
Program officers play a critical role as strategists and liaisons between grant partners and ZSR leadership. They partner with the executive team and the Board of Trustees in strategic decision-making to help distribute approximately $20 million each year to benefit the people of North Carolina.
This is an exciting opportunity for leaders who are passionate about systems change, equity and strategy to join a growing team of an established, catalytic organization.
Key job responsibilities include:
- Developing effective relationships, partnerships and strategies that help the Foundation facilitate positive change in communities across the state and at the state level.
- Reviewing grant applications, meeting with applicants, and providing critical analysis of applications for the Foundation’s trustees.
- Building relationships with and among grantee partners and other funders.

The positions are based in Winston-Salem, NC, and require regular statewide travel.
